54-year-old woman run-over outside arts and crafts store…

BARNSTABLE – A 54-year-old was transported to CCH under a priority 2 trauma alert after being struck by a vehicle while walking outside A.C. Moore Arts & Crafts this afternoon.

At about 1:15PM, police and rescue discovered the stricken woman down in the crosswalk between the crafts store and its parking area.

She had tire marks on her left foot and was complaining of pain to her ribs and chest area. She did not lose consciousness during the accident and the impact was described as “low speed…”

… and it occurred shortly after it had begun to rain.

Officers were speaking with an older woman behind the wheel of a Nissan and stopped in the crosswalk where the accident occurred. The accident is being investigated by the Barnstable Police.
