Dennis Police and D.E.A. Execute Warrant, Arrest Made

DENNISPORT- At approximately 7:30am Dennis Police assisted by members of the Drug Enforcement Administration’s Task Force executed a search warrant at Room #8 at the Jonathan Edwards Motel, 393 Route 28.

The search warrant was obtained following a 2 month investigation into drug dealing being conducted from the motel.  The investigation was initiated as a result of citizen complaints regarding suspicious behavior occurring at the establishment as well as police observations of activities.

Arrested was Jerry P. White, 41 years of age, of Room #8 Jonathan Edwards Motel.  Mr. White is

being charged with Possession of Class B Controlled Substance - Cocaine (in both powdered and crack form), Possession of Class D Controlled Substance – Marijuana, Possession of Class E Controlled Substance – Various Prescription Medications, and Possession with Intent to Distribute Class B Controlled Substance – Cocaine.

Also seized as a result of the execution of the search warrant were various quantities of drugs, implements used to administer drugs, $1,400.00 dollars in cash, scales and material used in the packaging and sale of drugs.  The estimated street value of the drugs seized was $800.

Mr. White was to be arraigned in Orleans District Court today.
