On Thursday, September 6, 2007 at 9:35 AM—members of the Yarmouth Police Department were sent to the Castle Dawn Motel 226 Route 28 in West Yarmouth to help a Massachusetts State Trooper who was requesting assistance for an unresponsive and unconscious man in room 206.
Yarmouth Police Patrol Officers Olivier Naas and Christopher Marino arrived at the scene and found a subject unconscious from an apparent drug overdose. Members of the Yarmouth Fire Department were called to the scene and the man regained consciousness.

“Suspect Arrested After Assaulting Another Officer”
On Thursday, September 6, 2007 at 5:38 PM—the Yarmouth Police and Fire Departments responded to Heavenly Pizza #2 at 194 Route 28 in West Yarmouth for a report of an unconscious man seated at a table passed out headfirst into a plate of food.
Yarmouth Police Patrol Officers John Dimitres and Cheryl Nugent Gomsey responded and found the man had become conscious and determined that he was the same man who had been brought to Cape Cod Hospital earlier in the day suffering from a drug overdose and was the same man pending charges for assaulting Patrol Officer Christopher Marino. While being treated by a member of the Yarmouth Fire Department—the man became violent and uncooperative. As he was being escorted to an ambulance—he kicked Patrol Officer Dimitres in the left leg. Officers subdued him and placed him under arrest. He was transported to Cape Cod Hospital and—after examination and treatment—was transported to Yarmouth Police Headquarters. He is scheduled for arraignment in the Barnstable District Court on Friday, September 7.
