HYANNIS- At approximately 2:00pm Barnstable Police and Hyannis Rescue were dispatched to the Thai House Restaurant on Main Street after customers called and reported that a man was behaving oddly.
According to the initial radio transmission the male diner was apparently intoxicated and vomiting inside. When police arrived a young man dressed neatly in a suit and tie was sitting at a table while the rest of the diners waited outside the building.
According to witnesses the man was harassing other people having their lunch at other tables. All the patrons inside decided to exit the building and call police out of concern for the one restaurant employee still inside.
The diners remained outside the restaurant for over half an hour as police and rescue evaluated the man. The man was initially handcuffed but then was able to walk out without cuffs and receive treatment inside an ambulance.
It was an uncomfortable lunch for all involved.
