Arrested After Creating Disturbance

  On Thursday, September 20, 2007 at 3:35 PM—the Yarmouth Police Department responded to Huntington Avenue in South Yarmouth for a report of an intoxicated man

yelling obscenities and throwing objects in the middle of the street.

  

Yarmouth Police Patrol Officers Philip Magnuson and Richard Fichter arrived at the scene and found the man extremely intoxicated and acting disorderly.  While the officers were placing him in custody—the man continued to yell and resisted arrest by attempting to walk away and violently flail his arms.  The officers overcame the resistance and placed him under arrest.

  

He was transported to Yarmouth Police Headquarters and is schedule for arraignment in the Barnstable District Court this morning.
