HYANNIS PORT – Quick story.

Yesterday – Sunday – after packing up on Hyannis Port Beach, perhaps a little distracted by the California Highway Patrol dudes, whatever… I must have absentmindedly left some things behind.

Today, an entire day and a half later, I went to reach for my brand-new reading glasses and my current ‘beach book.’  They weren’t where they were suppose to be.  But where were they?

Well, I retraced my steps in my mind and concluded that I must have left them on the beach where I was playing with my new golden retriever friend and her tennis ball.  What a relief!

Why you ask?

Because of all the beaches on Cape Cod where you could lose your stuff, the best one would be in Hyannis Port, the one right next to the Yacht Club.

And why is that you ask?

Because I happen to know first hand that Hyannis Port has an atmosphere of uncommon class, one which lends most a higher level of neighborly good will.

As I drove toward the beach lot, I had absolutely no doubt that my new glasses would be right where I left them.

And they were there!  But they hadn’t gone unnoticed.  Someone arranged my things so they would be easier to see when I returned.

This is a photo of how I found them.  Right next to my new buddy’s tennis ball…
