Barnstable Police Officer Treated and Released

HYANNIS - Barnstable Patrol Officer Barbara Brooks was treated and released from Cape Cod Hospital Monday afternoon after suffering minor injuries in a cruiser accident at Park Square on East Main Street in Hyannis. The accident occurred at the intersection of Lewis Bay Road shortly after 2:00 PM. Hyannis Fire Rescue treated her at the scene and transported her to Cape Cod Hospital for evaluation. 

According Sergeant Sean Sweeney Officer Brook's cruiser only received minor damage.  She was released from the hospital prior to the end of her shift.  The extent of her injuries are uncertain at this time.
