HYANNIS- Anxious moments for a Hyannis mom this afternoon.
.
It’s every parent’s worst nightmare- turning around and suddenly not being able to find your young child!
At 3:05pm Barnstable Police dispatch received a call from a very worried mother asking for help finding her 4 year old boy who suddenly went missing in a neighborhood not far from Barnstable High School.
Within moments at least 6 Barnstable Patrol Units, as well as Chief MacDonald, converged on the immediate area carefully searching during a time of day when West Main Street is at its busiest.
A detailed description and name was given out to all responders, the mother reported that her boy may be in the company of the family’s Black Labrador Retriever.
At 3:10pm, an impressive 5 minutes later, Patrolman Brian Murray reported he had located the child along with his faithful canine friend not far from their home. Patrolman Murray loaded the boy and the dog into his vehicle and promptly returned them both safely to mom.
