Woman Arrested in 2X4 Assault

HYANNIS- At approximately 6:45pm multiple Barnstable Police cruisers were dispatched to the neighborhood of General Patton Drive for a report of a fight involving about ten people where a woman was allegedly hitting people with a 2X4 board.

According to police radio transmissions, a woman was arrested for Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon, a board, and transported back to the Barnstable Police Facility for booking.

Rescue was not dispatched to the scene and it’s unclear if anyone was injured during the fray.

One neighborhood source (who wished to remain unidentified) told Hyannis News that today’s fight may have occurred due to an ongoing dispute amongst neighbors.
