HYANNIS - Lincoln Road and Route 28 was once again the scene of a serious crash Wednesday night. At about 11:00 PM Barnstable Police and Hyannis Fire Rescue were dispatched to that location for a serious 2 car crash that sent at least two people to Cape Cod Hospital.

The crash appeared to be head on, or nearly so. The nose of a Black Jeep Wrangler sustained very heavy damage in what appeared to be a direct hit. It landed on the corner of Lincoln and Route 28 while the other vehicle a white SUV landed behind the guard rail on the west bound side of Route 28. The debris from the accident was extensive and covered beyond the limits if the notorious intersection.

  • Not saying this had anything to do with this particular accident, it but I live on Arrowhead and when I get to 28, you can't see a blasted thing because the bushes and trees are so overgrown that you have to get out fairly far into 28 just to see if anything is coming. I meant to call the town hall today and mention that but now tomorrow I definately will.
