The Woods Hole, Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket Steamship Authority's new high speed ferry Iyanough patiently lies in wait getting ready to start service from Hyannis to Nantucket. She is presently moored near Fall River. The sleek new vessel is larger, and reportedly faster, than either of the previous Steamship high speed ferries Finest or Flying Cloud. Iyanough is scheduled to begin service later this year.

The M/V Iyanough was built in Massachusetts by Gladding-Hearn Shipbuilding and delivered to the Steamship Athority in January. Gladding Hearn is the same company that built the Hy-Line's fast ferries.
