CENTERVILLE -  Around 9:00 AM, Barnstable Police began looking for a 17 Year old male suspect described at 6'1 and 190 lbs. who reportedly crashed a vehicle that was reported stolen in Dennis. The suspect then fled on foot from the scene in the 400 Block of Shoot Flying Hill Road.

The identity of the suspect is known to police and he has family ties to a residence within a mile of the crash scene. Police were searching for the suspect throughout the area.

Barnstable County Identification Officers responded to the scene of the crash to process the vehicle for evidence.

  • The police cannot legally give out names of juveniles. One should understand the criminal justice system before commenting on a incident. Once again this shows how people are to quick to second guess law enforcement.

  • Well, if they know who it is, why not post a pic so the community can help find him..? it amazes me that so many times that the police are looking for someone yet do not post a picture for the public to help find them. i see it as a waste of a community i mean like the town of barnstable.... 110 police officers and probably 100,000 residents. it only makes sense for them to get a picture out there.
