HYANNIS – As you will see in the following HN Video, police and firefighters, including the Hyannis FD Dive Team, responded to the Lewis Bay boat ramp for reports of a BMW in the water at about 6:00PM this evening.
The first thing they confirmed was that everyone was safely out of the vehicle. They then focused on environmental issues… and one police officer reported there did not appear to be any fluids leaking into Lewis Bay.
HN spoke with the boaters. They were loading the their motor boat when there was some type of malfunction and their BMW SUV and boat trailer wound up completely submerged.
Hyannis FD called in their dive team to go under and hook up the vehicle so it could be winched-out.
The following video highlights the scene and team effort to return the motor vehicle to dry land…
