• I knew Pat Lancaster personally and though he was an absolute mad man, I find it hard to believe he would hit his wife. The sad part of this story is his wife is a sick manipulative woman. Both sides of this story are distorted. Niether Pat nor his wife are ethically "good" people, but no one diserved to die over it. This woman belongs in jail for what she did.

• this is becoming absolutely ridiculous. i have known the lancaster clan since junior high, and i have no doubt in my mind that pat was an abusive s.o.b. . if any of you had the slightest insight into their family life, you would not try to paint gryboski in such a terrible light. he was a dick with a napoleon complex, and i fully believe she just snapped. if i was married to that jerk, i would have too.

• Vigilantism is not an alternative to Domestic Violence. Ann G. knew better. The facts of this tragedy have yet to surface. This is not a victory for women who are battered, this is a great loss of human life, one that could have had rights granted our constitution. If she left him, maybe they would both still have a life. You think she can just go on living, after what she did? This will haunt her for the rest of her Wife and she will have regrets for not getting out for herself, her husband and her boys. Sure we can all say that "he would have hunted her down and she would have been the dead victim", but we don't know that to be true. So far, the only ones allowed to speak out are AG, her son, (also placed at the crime scene) and the DA. None who are impartial, in my opinion. That DA has alot to answer to, not just of this case and his alleged relationship to this defendant, but CW's case as well. When will the uninformed, wake up and elect someone who will work for the good citizens of Cape Cod--instead of his career options.

• A popular theory around town is that the son killed Lancaster in a rage over the incident involving his child. They believe Gryboski covered up for her son by having him hit her in the face a few times while waiting for Lancaster to bleed to death so he could not talk to the cops. She had a better chance of skating on the battered woman's defense than the son would on shooting his unarmed father in a fit of rage on Easter Sunday just days before his birthday. They presented a very tidy defense to the grand jury with no opposing testimony. Neighbors say they were not interviewed by the police, and this X brother in law says he was told he was not a credible witness because he had "an ax to grind" with the family. No fuss, no muss. Gryboski gambled and she won. Bet even she thought she'd at least go to trial.

• The CCCrimes wants you to think about gardening and clevage in the workplace. Domestic violence is big business on Cape Cod. Prosecuting this case would be more trouble than it would be worth for the DA. Better to sell a one sided story from the "survivor" of domestic abuse than question why there was no trial for an unarmed dead guy with a bad hip.
