Poll: Who's dumber?
Are girls dumber than than boys? Or is it the other way around?
Like most guys, I'm quite smart thank you
Hey, just because I'm a girl, it doesn't make me dumb
Men like me have bigger brains. It's science!
I am a girl, and clearly smarter than my guy friends

(NEW POLL) LANCASTER MURDER: Did Ann Gryboski’s Position as a Successful Female Doctor Save Her From Going to Trial?

  • Okay Anonymous- you make some good points, but you still sound unsure. Many people like yourself have valid questions. That's why it is so outrageous that this murder never went to trial. Gryboski was charged with murder by the police and DA. But then all of a sudden the DA acted strangely and sent mixed messages to the media. why? we can only guess. but this case was mishandled and that is why there is so much scandal surrounding this case. Pat Lancaster deserved a trial. He, like all citizens, did not deserve to executed and defamed on the shooter's heresay.

  • what if she couldn't make it to the phone?? okay...so lets say she called the police and it took them 10 minutes to get there...and in that time frame he killed her....hmmmmm?????? She obviously did what she had to in that moment. "fight or flight", "kill or be killed"

  • How would you feel if someone wanted to kill you? and then did it? How would YOU feel being dead?
(Posted by Sum Yung Ting, 26 August, 2007 14:11:11)
  • What if he deserved it??? Just because you think someone deserves to to die in your opinion does not mean you can pick up a gun and kill him. How about picking up the phone and calling the police? She never tried that!

  • what if he deserved it? what if it was definitely justifiable and she was in fear for her life during that incident and she made the decision to defend herself. Now imagine it was you in a situation like that where you had to choose between life or death how would you feel if a bunch of people who don't know everything feel they have to comment and make you sound like a monster

  • judging by the looks of her face he WAS armed....she was just BETTER armed.

  • Yes my friend, Karma. A woman trained to heal who kills an unarmed man and doesn't spend even 24 hours in jail will have some serious karma to pay at some point. Revoking her medical license permanently would be a start.

  • Karma? Are you kidding me?
(Posted by Karma Queen, 25 August, 2007 23:29:31)
  • BUT AT LEAST SHE WILL BE HAPPY GETTING THERE!! :-P

  • We all know what Karma is. This thing is going to follow Dr. G to her grave and beyond.

  • women SHOULD be allowed to shoot their husbands if they are continually beating the shit out of them! Its called KARMA....what goes around comes around, and his day came! You go girl!!!!!!
    (Posted by ANONYMOUS, 25 August, 2007 21:56:15)
  • This outcome is so corrupt!

  • IN her first press conference since she killed her huband, Gryboski stated: "Once in an abusive relationship, no one can simply just leave". While that may have been how she felt in her relationship, that is not how all victims react. From personal experience, I can say that there did come a time when, after being abused for years, I simply decided I would not take it anymore and I left. I was aware of the abundant resources for victims of domestic violence in Barnstable, and I took advantage of them. This woman obviously has serious emotional issues, and while she got away with killing her husband, she should not be trusted with making life and death decisions for patients, ever.

  • Face it. O'Keefe knew he couldn't win this one, so he tanked it. Living in the same neighborhood does not make them lovers. Look at her picture in the paper from yesterday. She was steely eyed, composed and prepared. Look at how she held her head up during the initial court proceedings. Most women would turn or drop their head in deep grief or even shame when being photographed with a banged up face after taking the life of her husband. This story will eventually be covered by Dateline or some other national news outlet, and maybe we'll finally hear how she actually got off.

  • What went on in the secret grand jury proceedings in this case? Are any of the jurors talking to the press? Here's a better poll question: Would you want Gryboski as your physician? Would you let her treat anyone in YOUR family? Did she lie on her gun permit about her history of mental illness?
