DIRT BIKE CRASH: Hyannis man reportedly suffered broken ribs at remote gravel pit… [VIDEO]

BARNSTABLE – A 26-year-old Hyannis man was badly hurt this afternoon when he was involved in some type of dirt bike accident.

At about 4:30PM, Barnstable Rescue responded to the gravel and sand pits in the area of Communication Way.

As you will hear in the following video, first responders initially had difficulty locating the patient… and when they finally zeroed in on the area, they needed to use bolt cutters to open a metal gate at the beginning of an access road.

Barnstable Police and Massachusetts Environmental Police also arrived on scene. They found the victim and his brother, but the dirt bike reportedly had already been taken from area by others.

The male victim reportedly had broken ribs on the left side of this body. He was responsive and able to communicated with first responders.

The Massachusetts Environmental Police are investigating the crash.
