EMEGENCY AUDIO: Head-on crash and rollover with entrapment… two dead, one critical… [UPDATED]

Two Die in Head-On Crash in West Yarmouth
On Saturday October 1, 2016 at approximately 10:40 AM the Yarmouth Police and Fire Departments responded to a report of a crash involving two motor vehicles on Buck Island Road near the entrance to the Halcyon Condominium complex.
Upon arrival, First Responders secured the area and began immediate treatment of individuals who had suffered traumatic injuries as a result of the crash. Despite extensive lifesaving measures, two of the individuals involved in the crash were unable to survive and died. The third individual involved in the crash was rushed to Cape Cod Hospital and is currently being treated at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston for life threatening injuries.
A portion of Buck Island Road was closed for approximately four hours while members of the Barnstable County Sheriff’s Department Criminal Investigations Bureau, the Cape Cod Regional Law Enforcement Council Crash Reconstruction Team, and Barnstable Police Department completed a preliminary investigation.
A follow-up investigation led by the Yarmouth Police Department Detective Division is active and ongoing.
The driver of a 2004 GMC Sierra operating westbound on Buck Island Road who was unable to survive has been identified as Caroline A. Liberty age 22 of Arlington Street in West Yarmouth.
The driver of the 2012 Audi Q7 operating eastbound on Buck Island Road who is currently in critical condition has been identified as Mary E. Ardan age 60 of Stoney Brook Road in Charlton, Massachusetts.
The passenger in the Audi who was unable to survive has been identified as Thomas Ardan age 56, the husband of Mary Ardan.

At about 10:40PM last evening, multiple police units and firefighters rushed to the area of 300 Buck Island Road for a vehicle on its roof after a head-on crash. At least one person was reportedly still trapped inside…
A state trooper responded to assist with shutting down the road, and Barnstable Police took at least one call in West Yarmouth as the YPD had their hands full working what was beginning to sound like a very tragic scene.
According to FD radio transmissions, one patient was considered “priority one;” a second patient was “priority two,” and a third patient was said to be “DOA.”
Medflight helicopters were unavailable, very likely because of weather…
Accident Reconstruction Experts from both Yarmouth and Barnstable Police Departments signed off at the scene.
A medical examiner was referenced in regards to two of the patients… CPAC was also notified… but no official word at this point…
