FALMOUTH BLAZE!
The following is the Falmouth FD media statement:
At approx 0145 hrs [monday] morning, E21, E24, E25 and L26 were dispatched to a building fire on Providence St in the Maravista section of Town. First arriving units found heavy fire showing from a large 2 store dwelling, with severe exposure problems on 3 sides due to flying brands and radiant heat. A second alarm was quickly struck, bringing all remaining Falmouth units as well as engine companies from the Mashpee and Cotuit FD’s to the scene. Numerous hand lines were deployed, and the fire was brought under control in about an hour. There were no injuries, and the fire is currently under investigation by the FFRD, FPD and the State Fire Marshals Office. Thanks to the Bourne, COMM and JBCC FD’s for providing station coverage during the incident.
