HN PHOTOS: 12-year-old bitten in face by family dog…

 


HYANNIS –
At about 6:35PM, police and rescue responded to a Hyannis home after a 12-year-old was badly bitten in the face by the family dog.

 
The child’s face was heavily bandaged as she was able to walk up into an awaiting ambulance. Her injuries were serious, but not life threatening…

 

According to sources, the family had the dog for about a year without any prior problems…

 

Barnstable Animal Control took custody of the dog for the time being. As you can see in the following photo, the ACO was able to walk the adult family dog to her van without any problems…
