HYANNIS – A choking infant was frantically carried outside to meet arriving first responders last evening.
A Barnstable Police patrolman was reportedly first on scene, quickly followed by Hyannis Rescue medics…
… moments after their arrival, a patrolman radioed the baby was now breathing again.
The emergency happened at an address on Pine Grove Ave last evening. It’s uncertain what caused the infant to start choking or what, if any, actions first responders did to get the child breathing again. HN will provide official updates as they become available.
The baby was reportedly just several weeks old.
It was a harrowing scene and sources reported the child was breathing again and should be okay.
The infant was transported to CCH for evaluation. The baby’s mom and a sibling followed the ambulance in a police cruiser.
