On Friday, August 10, 2007 at approximately 3:30 PM—members of the Yarmouth Police Department arrested the suspect in the Town and Country armed robbery. The arrest came as a result of information developed by Barnstable Police Department Detective Edward Scipione and Yarmouth Police Detectives Eric H. Nuss and Stephen W. Renzi.
On the afternoon of the arrest, the suspect was spotted walking on Route 28 in West Yarmouth. The suspect initially ran off but was captured by Yarmouth Police Patrol Officer Brian Niezgoda and Detective Nuss as he ran through Takis Pizza restaurant and hid inside a nearby cottage.
On Monday, August 13th, the suspect was arraigned in the Barnstable District Court and is currently being held on $25,000 cash bail in the Barnstable County Correctional Facility in Bourne.

“Police Investigate Armed Robbery”
On Tuesday, July 24, 2007 at 10:11 PM—the Yarmouth Police Department responded to an armed robbery at the Town and Country Motor Lodge on Route 28 in West Yarmouth.
Yarmouth Police Patrol Officers Kevin L. Antonovitch and Christopher R. Marino arrived at the scene and confirmed that an armed robbery had just occurred and that the suspect had fled.
After establishing a secure crime scene—additional Yarmouth Police Officer converged on the area and established an outer perimeter and conducted saturation patrols.
The on-scene investigation determined that an unknown white male had entered the front office area—brandished a handgun—and demanded cash. The suspect obtained a small amount of cash—ran southbound across Route 28—and into a silver 4 door sedan. The suspect vehicle was last seen westbound on Route 28.
Barnstable County Sheriff’s Department Crime Scene Investigators John Szucs and Timothy Wallace were called to the scene and provided crime scene analysis and evidence collection.
