Drug Overdose Leads to Multiple Warrant Arrest

On Saturday, September 8, 2007 at 1:04 PM—the Yarmouth Police and Fire Departments responded to 28 Prospect Avenue in West Yarmouth for a report of an unconscious man suffering from heroin use.

  

Yarmouth Police Detective Russell Giammarco—Patrol Officers Richard White and Gordon Gibbons—and street Patrol Sergeant Gerard Britt arrived at the residence and discovered that the subject had fled on foot prior to their arrival.

  

During a subsequent search for the subject—officers were advised that the suspect was wanted on three outstanding arrest warrants.  After checking several locations, the suspect was located hiding under a couch in the living room of a neighbors home.

  

The suspect was placed in custody and transported to Yarmouth Police Headquarters.  He will be held in custody and transported to the Barnstable District Court on Monday, September 10, 2007.
