On Wednesday, November 7, 2007 at 1:48AM—Yarmouth Police Patrol Officer Scott Lundegren observed a red 1996 Honda Civic traveling northbound on West Yarmouth Road in an erratic manner.   As the vehicle traveled it suddenly increased and decreased speed, sway over the centerline into the oncoming lane, back over crossing the fog line, and at the intersection of Buck Island Road—the vehicle stopped for a green light.

Patrol Officer Lundegren conducted a traffic stop and met with the operator who exhibited several signs and symptoms of intoxication.  A series of standardized field sobriety tests were conducted and the operator was subsequently placed under arrest and transported to Yarmouth Police Headquarters.   A check of his record indicated prior convictions for drunk driving and that his license was suspended. He is scheduled for arraignment in the Barnstable District Court this morning.
