HYANNIS PORT - At approximately 8:30am Hyannis Rescue responded to a 911 call at the Kennedy Compound.

.

Sources report that Senator Kennedy was rushed to the Cape Cod Hospital Emergency Room for undisclosed symptoms (some are reporting that the Senior Senator had experienced “stroke-like" symptoms).

.

Shortly after 10am a decision was made to transport Senator Kennedy from the Cape Cod Hospital Emergency Room to a helicopter pad at the Barnstable Municipal Airport in Hyannis.

.

From there the Senator was airlifted to Mass. General Hospital, where he is currently undergoing emergency care and evaluation.

.

1:45pm UPDATE:  A spokesperson for Senator Ted Kennedy is now reporting that he had suffered some type of seizure which led to the 911 call.  He is currently resting comfortably and undergoing tests.
