Five Charged in Housebreak Spree
DENNIS- Dennis Police have charged five people following a four month investigation conducted by Detective Patrick McCaffrey, Patrolman Kathleen Mei, Matthew Turner and Richard Troy into a series of sixteen Breaking and Enterings into seasonal houses in the South Dennis area. The Breaking and Entereings occurred during the weekend of November 3rd, 2006. Charged with 10 Counts of Breaking & Entering in the Night Time, 5 counts of Attempted Breaking & Entering, and 3 counts of Larceny From a Building are: Frank Correia, 23 years of age, of 54 Elizabeth Lane in South Dennis and Keith Gross, 18 years of age, of 20 Ann’s Point in South Dennis. Also charged in a related incident is Hector Ithier, 32 years of age, of 54 Elizabeth Lane in South Dennis and Joseph Brun, 26 years of age, of 18 Birch Street in Hyannis. Both subjects are charged with 1 count of Breaking & Entering in the Night Time and 1 count of Larceny from a Building. This incident occurred at an unoccupied house also located in the South Dennis area during the same weekend of November 3, 2006. The fifth person charged in the incident is Heather Klein-Videgar, 34 years of age, of 54 Elizabeth Lane in South Dennis. She is charged with 1 count of Receiving Stolen Property the value of over $250. Mr. Correia turned himself into the Orleans District Court on Monday afternoon, where he pled not-guilty to all of the charges. Mr. Correia was held without bail on a probation violation in the Orleans District Court. In Addition, his bail in an unrelated drug case in Barnstable Superior Court was revoked. He is scheduled to appear again for a pre-trial hearing in Orleans District Court on April 9, 2007. Mr. Ithier turned himself into the Orleans District Court on Tuesday afternoon. He pled not-guilty and was released on his own recognizance for an April 5th pre-trial appearance. Mr. Brun turned himself into the Orleans District Court on Wednesday. Mr. Brun pled not-guilty to the charges and was released on his own recognizance for pre-trial hearing on March 20th. Ms. Klein-Videgar turned herself into the Orleans District Court March 8, 2007. She Pled not-guilty to the charge and was released on her own recognizance for a pre-trial hearing on April 5th. Mr. Gross will be arraigned at a later date.
