Early Morning Police Foot Chase

HYANNIS- At approximately 1:20am this morning two Barnstable Police Officers were conducting a routine traffic stop on two vehicles when things suddenly erupted into an all-out foot chase.

Officer John Campbell and another Patrolman where able to quickly rundown the fleeing suspect and effectively place him custody.

All available Hyannis Patrol Units converged on the area to assist if necessary.  A road supervisor arrived and radioed dispatch for a duty wrecker.

Details are sketchy at this time, but Hyannis News learned a couple of things from a Barnstable Police Representative.  First, no officers were injured during the pursuit.  Second, at least one male was arrested for undisclosed charges and motor vehicle offenses.

As an aside: it should be noted that Officer Campbell had an eventful and effective shift, as he also spotted and stopped another suspect attempting to flee from an earlier accident scene.
