HYANNIS- Shortly after 8:00am this morning Barnstable Police responded to 81 Louis Street for a domestic fight between a boyfriend and girlfriend.

Details are still forthcoming, but Hyannis News has learned that upon arrival police requested one rescue, and shortly thereafter a second rescue to what is being described as an unusually bloody crime scene.

Two patients were transported to Cape Cod Hospital for serious, but non-life threatening injuries.

The Town of Barnstable Board of Health also responded to investigate the scene, condemning the house due to the large amount of blood inside resulting from this morning’s fray.

A Barnstable County Identification Officer was called to take photos and assist in gathering evidence.

Patrolman David Downs is handling the case and will likely be charging at least one of the parties involved in the altercation.  Also, it has not yet been officially confirmed whether domestic abuse charges have been issued.

The incident is still under investigation and Hyannis News will bring you updates as they become available.
