Saturday March 24, 2007 PM Update - Less than 24 hours after a violent home invasion Barnstable Police have rounded-up two suspects.

Barnstable Detective John York caught up with and arrested both suspects today in Orleans at approximately 2:00pm.

Both men were taken into custody without incident, according to a police spokesman.

Origional Story:

CENTERVILLE- Friday March 23, 2007, shortly after 2:30pm today Barnstable Police dispatch cleared all nonessential radio traffic as patrol units responded to a masked home invasion at 10 Vista Circle.

Suspects reportedly fled the area prior to the call, but officers on scene took no chances and had the victim come out and meet them outside of the residence.  Rescue was summoned to the scene soon after.  According to C.O.M.M. Fire Department nobody needed to be transported from the scene.

Some unconfirmed reports say that there was at least one elderly male victim who was tied up during the assault.  Police radio chatter seems to indicate that the victim may have recognized the voice of one of the assailants.  Police put the name of one potential suspect out over the operations frequency.

Shortly after arrival officers reported back that the home checked secure, radio traffic was opened back up.

At least ten investigators were off at the scene piecing things together.

A Barnstable County Identification Officer was also called to the scene.

Details are still sketchy and Barnstable Police are currently working on a press release.
