WEST YARMOUTH- Yarmouth Police report that on March 31, 2007 at 2:05 AM officers responded to a report of a disturbance on Lorena Road.  Upon arrival, Yarmouth Patrol Officers Kevin L. Antonovitch and Michael G. Zontini found that two separate domestic attacks had occurred inside the residence at 18A Lorena Road.

There were two female victims. Patrol Officer Antonovitch located the first victim upstairs in a loft area crying and suffering from injuries to her left wrist and neck.  Officer Antonovitch located the suspect inside the home and placed him under arrest.

At the same time, Officer Zontini met with another female victim who was also visibly upset and crying and reporting that a different man assaulted her.  She further reported that she had fled from the attack and locked herself inside her motor vehicle, but the suspect smashed two windows with a rock and continued to assault her.

The suspect had fled on foot just prior to the police arrival. Yarmouth Police K9 Patrol Officer Marc Thibeault and his canine partner Clark arrived and began to track the suspect.  The K9 team tracked the suspect through neighboring streets and yards for approximately 1 hour when Clark indicated something suspicious by continually scratching at the side of an unoccupied home.

K9 Patrol Officer Thibeault illuminated the roof line of the residence and spotted the suspect hiding behind the chimney. The suspect was ordered off the roof and surrendered to the K9 team.  He was placed in custody and transported to Yarmouth Police Headquarters.
