2:00pm UPDATE (4/12/07):   In a conversation today with Hyannis News, District Attorney Michael O'Keefe cautioned the media to avoid being led by “wild speculation.”   He wanted to remind everyone that the matter remains under investigation by personnel assigned to the Cape and Islands District Attorney’s Office.  He told Hyannis News that the investigation should take another 2 to 3 weeks.

Hyannis News will provide updates as facts become available from credible sources involved in the investigation.

BARNSTABLE- Dr. Ann Gryboski, with her face bruised including a black eye and bruising around her mouth pleaded "Not Guilty" in Barnstable District Court this past Monday.

"There was a dispute... obviously... between a husband and a wife that ended tragically as it sometimes does in these events. Suffice it to say that the injuries ... are part of the mitigating circumstances that we will be exploring."  District Attorney Michael O'Keefe was careful in his wording. "The severity of the charges to be filed will ultimately be left up to the Grand Jury."

HyannisNews spoke with a person who identified himself as Thomas Knapp who said he felt compelled to come to the court house to speak his mind. Knapp claimed that he had worked with Lancaster. Knapp told HyannisNews, "Anyone who knew him would not be surprised." He went on to describe Lancaster as a person with a very aggressive personality.

Another Boston television reporter said, "I'm not sure I buy all this, [Lancaster] is not able to defend himself."
