NEWS BRIEF: Felony Stop!

HYANNIS- Barnstable Police Officers were taking no chances when they recently stopped this vehicle after a neighborhood dispute on Bearses Way.

Dispatch was origionally informed that one of the occupants had displayed a handgun.  The situation drew a strong response from police.

No handgun was found and the 911 call turned out to be misinformation...  apparently there was only a threat of handgun, no weapon was actually shown.
