SOUTH YARMOUTH: A 16 year old Yarmouth teen was struck by a silver Toyota sedan driven by another local teen as he rode his bike down Forest Road on his way to work at a nearby local super market according to friends of the victim at the scene. Upon impact, the bicyclist was reportedly tossed into the air smashing the windshield of the car that struck him.

The victim was treated at the scene and transported to Cape Cod Hospital with non life threatening injuries. The injured victim was reportedly conscious and talking after the accident and was concerned about being late for work. It is not clear if the driver and the bicyclist knew each other. He apparently tried to get up but friends encouraged him to wait for Yarmouth Fire Rescue to arrive.
