HYANNIS- At approximately 4:00pm multiple Barnstable Police Units rushed to the area of the Salvation Army on North Street for a report of a man threatening another man with a broken soda bottle.

Police spoke with witnesses and immediately put out a description to the other cars.  A white male was stopped for questioning by Officer Everett at the Hess Gas Station located at North Street and High School Road.

Meanwhile back at the scene of the crime Officer Steve O’Brien radioed that he had uncovered enough evidence to charge the suspect detained at Hess.

Officer Everett transported the alleged perpetrator back to the Barnstable Police Facility where he’ll likely be charged with Assault by Means of a Dangerous Weapon and Threats.

A Barnstable County Identification Officer was also summoned to the scene to assist in with photos and the collection of evidence.
