Yarmouth Fire Rescue Reports Crash

WEST YARMOUTH - Usually when Yarmouth Fire Rescue goes out they are called to a crash. But this time they were the reporting party. At about 5:00 PM Yarmouth Fire Rescue was apparently returning to quarters after investigating a silent alarm at the Cove in West Yarmouth when they came upon a two car crash in front of Luke's Liquors on Route 28.

The accident occurred in heavy traffic when the car shown ran into the back of a Lexus. A person believed to be the operator or a passenger in the Lexus was transported to Cape Cod Hospital by Yarmouth Fire Rescue. This happened at almost the same time at two other accidents on Route 28 in Yarmouth. One was near Kevin's Seafood and another more toward Hyannis.

This accident is being investigated by Yarmouth Patrol Officer Al Sprague. Silver Cloud Towing removed one vehicle from the scene,

Only a short time before that, Dennis Fire Rescue responded to a vehicle vs. building crash on Chase Avenue in Dennisport. There was a noticeable increase of traffic on the roads today the first weekend that most schools are closed for summer.
