Report of Swimmers in Trouble Turns out Well

By Web Master on 25 June, 2007 17:24:00

At about 5:15 PM Yarmouth Police and Fire Rescue responded to Sea Gull Beach responding to a report that two swimmers were in trouble off Lifeguard Station 2.

As it turned out the victims were a father age 46 and son about 25 out for their nightly exercise swim. Yarmouth Harbormaster also responded. Yarmouth Patrol Officer Al Sprague responded to  the scene. Although this incident was unfounded the person reporting the swimmers did the right thing. It is better to have it turn out this way than to not know about it and someone lose their life.
