RAW VIDEO: Several Gunshots at Veteran's Beach

HYANNIS- Shortly after midnight multiple Barnstable Police rushed to the parking lot of Veteran’s Beach for a report of gunshots.  At least 2 witnesses reported having definitely heard at least 3 gunshots. 

A Massachusetts State Trooper was also on scene to help with the investigation.

One witness was in the area fishing, the other was close by sitting on a picnic table.  Both witnesses were in separate locations and had no doubt about what they had heard.  Both witnesses saw several vehicles immediately speed away from the scene after the shots were fired.

Police did not find any shell casings, which suggest that the shots may have been fired from a revolver.

Officers quickly located a subject of foot with a bloody lip who claims he had been jumped by 6 white and black males.  When questioned about the gunshots he was not cooperative.

Officers were also searching the area for a 14 year old male who had phoned his mother and told her about the incident.  He was believed to possibly still be on foot in the area.
