Yarmouth Police & Fire Rescue Have Busy Morning

YARMOUTH - Yarmouth Police and Fire Rescue Resources were stretched to the limit Wednesday morning for Yarmouth Police and Fire Rescue between accidents and medical emergencies.

Slightly before 11:00 AM Yarmouth Police and Fire Rescue responded to a 2 vehicle accident at the intersection of Forest Road and Old Townhouse. The damage to the vehicles was minor although Yarmouth Fire Rescue did transport at least one person to Cape Cod Hospital. One of the drivers may have suffered a medical emergency.

At About 11:15 Fire Rescue sent units to the corner of Wendward Way and Route 28 for a medical emergency in a motel room.  

At about 11:30 AM Police and Fire Units responded to a report of a child hit by a car on Route 28 near Bass River Sports World.

11:45 AM Another accident was reported in front of DY Regional High School. One of the vehicles was reported to have left the scene but it was not immediately known if they had exchanged papers on their own

Yarmouth Fire called for Mutual Aid for ambulances at least twice during the morning and Yarmouth Police called in 2 additional officers to help cover.
