At approximately 7:32pm on Wednesday evening July 4, 2007 Dennis Police responded to a 911 call reporting a Breaking & Entry to a motor vehicle had just occurred to a vehicle parked at a residence on Kingswear Cr. in South Dennis. The caller was able to provide police with a description of the suspect vehicle and one of the occupants.

While en-route to the call Sgt. Brian Cummings observed the vehicle traveling southbound on Old Bass River Rd. approximately 1 mile from the scene of the B&E.

The vehicle was subsequently stopped by Sgt. Cummings and the occupants identified. As a result of further investigation, both of the occupants of the vehicle were arrested and charged with Breaking & Entering to a Motor Vehicle, Possession of  Class D Controlled Substance-Marijuana and Minors in Possession of Alcohol.

The latter two charges were the result of items found in the suspect vehicle at the time of the stop.

The operator, identified as Tyler Besly, 17 years of age, of Pheasant Ln. South Dennis was also charged with operating a motor vehicle in violation of his Junior Operator’s License.  The male passenger was identified as a 15 year old South Dennis juvenile.

Mr. Besly was released on his own recognizance for appearance in Orleans District Court on Thursday morning July 5th.  The juvenile was released to the custody of a parent for his later appearance in Orleans Juvenile Court.

Nothing was reported missing from the vehicle.
