Shoplifter Gets Lift in Cruiser - To Jail

 WEST YARMOUTH -  On Tuesday, July 24, 2007 at 9:40 PM—the Yarmouth Police Department responded to the Pizazz gift store on Long Pond Drive in South Yarmouth regarding a shoplifter. Yarmouth Police Patrol Officer Kevin P. McIsaac arrived at the store and located the suspect sitting in her blue Ford Expedition in the rear parking lot. 

Store employees advised Patrol Officer McIsaac that they had observed the suspect steal a dress and a stuffed animal.  The suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Yarmouth Police Headquarters. She is scheduled for arraignment in the Barnstable District Court today. 

An inventory of the vehicle revealed a large quantity of brand new items with store tags still on them.  Many of the items were listed as coming from two other gift stores in West Yarmouth—Wings and Mrs. Mitchell’s. 

 Several hundred dollars worth of items were confiscated and the investigation is ongoing.

·         Women’s Clothing

·         Mens Clothing

·         Bathing Suits

·         Jewelry

·         Toys

Arrested was Amy D. Beltzer—Age 30 of 52 Lake Road West, West Yarmouth, MA. She is charged with Shoplifting
