Barnstable's New Cruiser Makes Debut

HYANNIS - The Barnstable Police introduced their newest cruiser to the public Sunday by parking it on Main Street in front of the gate to the Pops By The Sea Concert.

The new cruiser is a lot different that those usually seen cruising the streets of Barnstable. To date, like most departments, Barnstable has used Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptors almost exclusively in recent years.

Meet E235! The Department's newest member. It is a special Police model Dodge Charger. The new cruiser is powered by a V8 Hemi and will soon be seen patrolling the streets of Barnstable. It is clean, sharp, and sleek! Keep your eyes open for E235. The new cruiser is similar to those in use by many state police departments around the country.
