HYANNIS - At 5:00 PM on a warm and sunny Sunday afternoon, the sound of bag pipes filled the air of the Hyannis Village Green as Barnstable Police Lieutenant David Cameron and Kathy White led the Barnstable Police Department's Color Guard down the center walkway to the stage where the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra were waiting patiently to begin their performance. The TD Banknorth - Pops by the Sea 2007 Concert presented by the Arts Foundation of Cape Cod was underway.

An excited crowd of 15,000 stood as Boston Pops Conductor Keith Lockhart took the stage and the Orchestra opened the 22nd annual Pops By The Sea Concert with the National Anthem sung this year by Fred Inkley a Cape Cod native and Broadway Veteran. He has a long list Broadway credits to his name; including Les Miserables, Pipin, Hair and Jesus Christ Superstar. Learn more about Fred Inkley at the Internet Broadway Database at http://www.ibdb.com/person.asp?ID=83888

Like Fred Inkley - Mazzie also has an impressive list of Broadway credits. She has appeared in Ragtime, Passion (for which she was nominated for a Tony Award), and Man of LaMancha among others. She sang Everything's coming up Roses, Losing My Mind, and As If We Never Said Goodbye. You can learn more about Marin Mazzie at http://www.marinmazzie.com/

After a short intermission, Keith Lockhart again took the stage to introduce this year's guest conductor. Lockhart introduced comedian and actor Ray Romano who flew in from a vacation with his family on Martha's Vineyard. Romano kept the audience in stitches - nonstop - for nearly ten minutes while he feigned getting up the courage you begin his task of leading one of the most famous orchestras in the world in 76 Trombones. At the conclusion of his performance, the substantial audience audience roared their approval.

If you were not fortunate enough to be there in person, you can see some highlights of the event and catch most of Ray Romano's performance in our exclusive video below.

After Ray Romano departed the stage, the Pops continued with their performance for nearly another hour wrapping up the concert with 42nd Street.  Visit Ray Romano's Official web site at http://www.rayromano.com/
