ONE AT GUNPOINT: Driver arrested after leading Mashpee Police on slow-speed pursuit… [HN AUDIO]
MASHPEE – Shortly after 9pm this evening, the Mashpee Police patrol operations frequency came alive with sirens as one of their patrolmen found himself behind a vehicle that would not stop.
According to radio transmissions – which you’re about to hear in the following HN Audio – speeds reached as high as 20 miles per hour!
The patrolman was able to determine that the driver was likely fleeing back to his address on Scituate Road in Mashpee…
… and sure enough, the pursuit ended in the driver’s driveway, with the patrolman announcing he had “one at gunpoint,” which caused scrambling backup units several anxious moments, until they heard the magical words, “one in custody… everything’s all set..”
… “units slow down.”
HN spoke briefly with Mashpee Police Sergeant Michael Assad, he wasn’t able to say too much at this time, but did mention the driver is looking at a total of 8 charges…
… and that he will be arraigned in Falmouth District Court tomorrow morning.
The following HN Audio captures the pursuit’s radio transmissions…
