HN SHOCK VIDEO: Overdose crash into Mid-Cape Highway ditch… “priority one…” revived with Narcan… lucky to be alive!
WEST BARNSTABLE – The first thing that came to mind when arriving at this crash scene was, “it’s a good thing this driver didn’t kill himself or someone else!”
As you will see and hear in the following HN Video, at about 10:13PM last evening, numerous first responders rushed to the median of Route 6 near Exit 6 after a driver overdosed and crashed into the ditch.
The driver was described as being “priority one,” but eventually came around after being administered Narcan.
Just moments after the patient was loaded into an ambulance, a patrol officer told HN the patient was extremely lucky to be alive.
It’s uncertain whether the driver will be charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of narcotics… or other motor vehicle charges like ‘operating to endanger…’
The Massachusetts State Police are investigating the crash.
The following HN SHOCK Video highlights the entire call…
