HYANNIS- At approximately 10:53pm multiple Barnstable Police units rushed to the area of the Main Street Mini Golf hoping to nab an armed robber who just had fled the immediate area on foot.
According to the Mini Golf’s cashier, he had just been closing the cash drawer when “this kid… he ran up and put a knife to my throat!” The suspect then reportedly fled on foot down Pine Avenue towards South Street with an undetermined amount of cash.
According to Barnstable Police Sergeant Ben Baxter the suspect was a white skinny kid wearing a bandana… police were there in less than a minute with their lights shut down hoping to catch the suspect running.
Barnstable Police K-9 Officer Sean Roycroft arrived and with his tracking dog began to work his way in the suspect’s last known direction of travel.
The robbery remains under investigation by Barnstable Police Detective Jason Labor.
