Arrested for Threats to Police Officer and Family

YARMOUTH- On Tuesday, September 4, 2007 at 4:00 PM—the Yarmouth Police Department served an arrest warrant on a subject for threatening to harm a local police officer and his family.

The police officer resides in Yarmouth and works for a Cape Cod Police Department.

The warrant was obtained this morning from the Barnstable District Court after a series of threatening notes were delivered to the police officers home.

The subject was located at his residence and is currently being held at Yarmouth Police Headquarters in West Yarmouth.  He is scheduled for arraignment in the Barnstable District Court on Wednesday, September 5, 2007.
