Police Investigate Untimely Death

On Friday, September 7, 2007 at 1:37 PM—the Yarmouth Police and Fire Departments responded to 28 Town Brook Road in West Yarmouth regarding a report of a lifeless female.

Yarmouth Police Patrol Officers Gordon T. Gibbons and David S. Dickey arrived at the residence and assisted as members of the Yarmouth Fire department treated the unconscious woman.

The woman was transported to Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis and despite the efforts of rescue and Cape Cod Hospital personnel—the 23-year-old woman was pronounced dead.   An initial review of the incident indicates drugs may have been involved.

Members of the Massachusetts State Police Crime Scene Investigation Unit and State Police Detectives were called to the scene and are assisting in the investigation.
