HYANNIS- In case you’ve been wondering why Hyannis News has lost some its BITE in recent days… everything is okay now, but News Mutt was almost down for the count!
News Mutt is recovering from a treatable but serious illness. “Her low blood count would have killed the average dog,” said one local veterinarian, but News Mutt is not your ordinary mutt. She’s a scrapper and will back on the crime beat as soon as her weight returns to normal.
Hyannis News Editor Rob Bastille and News Mutt have left town for an undisclosed beachfront hiatus in Rhode Island for additional rest and fine dining. News Mutt has been given the go ahead for extra large portions of pasta and several types of meat. The 12 year old “puppy” has a personal chef who has trained under world famous Emeril Lagasse and she’s looking forward to sampling some specially prepared canine seafood entrées for the first time – lucky gal!
Bastille and News Mutt will likely be back on the crime beat sometime after the weekend, with News Mutt releasing an official statement on her condition at an exclusive news conference in the near future! She is expected to make a full recovery.
