A BaltimoreCity police officer has been suspended after a video of him surfaced on You Tube. The officer is shown physically and verbally harassing a 14 year old boy who had been skateboarding. It is not clear in the video but it appears that the police officer, Salvatore Rivieri (a 17 year veteran), may have told the boys earlier that they were not allowed to skateboard there and then they did it again. An enraged Rivieri escalates to a verbally abusive state as he physically assaults one of the children.
Be advised, the following video is sickening and "Officer" Rivieri gives police a bad name. This video should be included in police training as deterrent to this type of appalling behavior!

I'm watching cnn and I cannot the police union is trying to defend this behavior. there you have it. unfortunately cops cover up for each other and hardly ever enforce the law on their own. many cape departments have a significant number of bad apples. nothing ever gets done. youtube now puts some power back into the hands of the citizens. the boy who took the video is a hero for documenting this case of child abuse. he was very brave for ignoring the officer's threats regarding not posting on youtube. to good cops, you will never have to defend yourself by obeying the law and doing your job and telling the truth. to bad cape cops, we're watching you. This "cop" needs to be charged and do jail time. this happens here as well. there is no excuse for this bullshit. (Posted by the little guy, 13 February, 2008 17:36:55)
