AM Drunk Driving Roundup

Early Thursday morning, February 21, 2008 members of the Yarmouth Police Department Patrol Force arrested two persons for drunk driving.

The first arrest occurred at 2:20 AM when Yarmouth Police Patrol Officer Scott Lundegren observed a red 1997 Dodge Ram pickup truck operating erratically on Winslow Gray Road and stopped the vehicle in front of Cumberland Farms on Route 28 in West Yarmouth.  An interview of the driver and subsequent field sobriety testing indicated that the operator was impaired and she was placed under arrest.

The second arrest occurred at 3:33 AM when Yarmouth Police Patrol Officer Christopher Marino observed a red 1994 Geo Prism operating erratically on High Bank Road in South Yarmouth.  A stop of the vehicle was conducted and the interview of the driver and subsequent field sobriety testing indicated that the operator was impaired and she was placed under arrest.

Both subjects were booked at Yarmouth Police Headquarters in West Yarmouth and are scheduled for arraignment this morning in the Barnstable District Court.
