CENTERVILLE- When the words “infant” and “car accident” are used all together in one sentence first responders enter into an even higher level of awareness.

At 7:58pm Barnstable Patrolman Edward Cronin arrived at a three car accident at the intersection of Strawberry Hill Road and Wequaquet Lane, right in between CVS and the Greek Orthodox Church.

Officer Cronin found that there were no injuries, but affirmed that there was an infant in one of the vehicles and summoned rescue for a precautionary evaluation.

All were relieved when the child checked-out okay and mom carried her baby back to an awaiting ride home.

All three vehicles needed to be towed from the scene.

C.O.M.M. Firefighters prepared the vehicles for safe removal and put down absorbent to cleanup fluid leakage.
